Rob 64 alias Rob Hiphop alias Flatlander

Rhymez & beatz, graffiti & art-work, acting, photography... As a creative octopus Rob 64 alias Rob Hiphop alias Flatlander has developed himself into a real artist from The Netherlands. His first hiphop band (at the age of 14) was IBC and goes back to the oldschool of 1986. The lyrics, music and productions are his own work, but every now and then features will represent on his tracks. Phat but also easy listening beats (with Latin, Soul and alternative influences) and lyrics with content. Whether it’s about a broken love, philosophy about life, Dutch or English, whatever, it’s always straight from the heart.

Rob 64 is a singer/rapper/producer in different bands:

IBC (1986-1989) hiphop; rapper

Sonic Destruction (1989-1994) hiphop; rapper

Rapacity (since 1994) hiphop; rapper / producer

Mental Flavor (1995-1997) funkrock; singer / rapper

Mezac (since 2004) regggae; rapper (www.mezac.nl)

Besides that, Rob 64 has done many projects together with Patrick Schouten for TMS Studio (www.tmsstudio.nl & www.nationalehitlijst.nl) in Tilburg, for example the LP / CD productions of Rapacity on Magic Sounds Volume 2 (1995), Gewoon van de straat (MS Vol. 3 1996) and Just Dutch Bling Bling (MS Vol. 4 2005) (www.naughtyboyrecords.com & www.magicsounds.nl).

Through the years many shows have been given at venues (e.g. Dynamo / Effenaar, Eindhoven, Netherlands), youthcentres (e.g. Paradox, Boxtel, Netherlands), open air (e.g. Festival Mundial, Netherlands), clubs (e.g. The Londoner, Lloret de Mar, Spain) en on the water (Manhattan Cruise, New York, USA).

Sonic Destruction and Rapacity had airplay on different radio stations (somtimes live):

Kink FM, Omroep Brabant, Avulo FM, Radio Benelux, BLOS, Radio Liberty, and a local station on the Netherlands Antilles (Dutch Caribean).

On television Rob 64 has done many extras and acting in soap-series:

GTST (as: bassguitarist, prisoner, mover), ’t Zonnetje in huis (drugdealer), Westenwind (burglar / mercenary), Kees & Co (roadmender).
